Why does my coconut oil change consistency?
Our travel tubes, packets, jars and wipes are filled with 100% USDA Certified Organic, Fair Trade, raw centrifuged coconut oil.
Coconut oil naturally changes consistency with temperature. Its melting point is 76°F (24°C). Above this temperature, the oil will become liquid. Below it, the oil may range in texture from a soft lotion to a firmer, butter-like consistency.
These natural changes are completely normal and do not affect the quality or effectiveness of the oil.
If the oil is firm, simply warm the tube or packet by:
• massaging it between your hands
• placing it in a glass of warm water
• setting it on a warm shower shelf while you shower
• briefly warming it with a hair dryer
The oil will quickly soften and return to a smooth consistency.
Why do small grains sometimes appear in coconut oil?
Because coconut oil is a natural, minimally processed product, temperature fluctuations can sometimes cause small grains or crystals to form.
This happens when the oil melts and re-solidifies quickly, causing the fatty acids to separate slightly. The grains are completely natural and safe.
To return the oil to a smooth consistency, gently warm the tube or packet until the oil melts fully. Once cooled slowly, it will return to its normal texture.

Coconut oil can interact with certain plastics over time, especially when exposed to varying temperatures. For this reason, we use laminate aluminum tubes with bamboo caps, which help protect the integrity of the oil while allowing it to be easily used in both liquid and solid states.
For our wipes, we also prioritize environmentally responsible materials. The wipe itself is made from bamboo viscose, a plant-derived fiber, and the packets and outer packaging are printed with sustainable, environmentally friendly inks.

How long does coconut oil last?
Unopened coconut oil typically lasts up to two years when stored in a cool, dry place. Once opened, we recommend using it within one year for best freshness.

When will my order ship?
Orders placed through the Conscious Coconut website typically ship within 48 hours Monday–Friday. Delivery times vary depending on location and shipping method.
For customers who prefer faster delivery options, many Conscious Coconut products are also available on Amazon, where shipping times may vary based on location and Prime availability.
Where do you ship?
Conscious Coconut ships across the United States and internationally where available. To view available shipping options and the exact cost of shipping to your location, simply start the checkout process and enter your shipping address. Shipping rates are calculated in real time through Shopify based on your destination and selected shipping method.
Some customers outside the U.S. may also find Conscious Coconut products available through Amazon or authorized retail partners, depending on their location.
Refunds & Returns
At Conscious Coconut, we take great care in sourcing and preparing our products. Our coconut oil is USDA Certified Organic and food-grade, and our body scrubs are made to order in small batches using five food-grade ingredients to ensure freshness and quality.
Because of the nature of these products, we are unable to accept returns or refunds once an order has shipped. This policy helps us maintain the highest standards for product integrity, freshness, and safety for all of our customers.
Additionally, opened or used products are not eligible for refunds.
What if my product arrives damaged?
If your order arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 7 days of delivery and we will gladly make it right.

We will arrange a replacement or refund as appropriate.
What if my order was shipped to the wrong address?
Customers are responsible for entering the correct shipping address at checkout. If an order is returned to us due to an incorrect address or delivery issue, we are happy to reship the order, but additional shipping costs may apply.
What if my package is lost in transit?
If your tracking information shows that the package has not been delivered or appears lost in transit, please contact us and we will work with the shipping carrier to investigate the issue and determine the best solution.
What happens if my package is marked delivered but I did not receive it?
If your tracking information shows that a package has been marked as delivered by the carrier, we recommend checking around your property, with neighbors, building staff, or your local carrier as packages are sometimes left in alternate secure locations.
If you are unable to locate the package, please contact us and we will do our best to assist by reviewing the delivery details and initiating a carrier investigation when possible.
Do you replace packages that show as delivered?
As a small business, we do our best to help when delivery issues arise and may offer a one-time replacement shipment as a courtesy while we investigate the situation with the carrier.
However, if a replacement shipment is also confirmed delivered by the carrier, we are unable to continue reshipping orders or issuing refunds.
Conscious Coconut is not responsible for packages once they are marked delivered by the carrier.
