Summer is winding down, school is just around the corner (if it hasn’t already started for you!), and you may be wondering how on Earth it’s almost 2020. Take this as your sign to slow down and give yourself some self-care love this week. Here are a few ideas that take no more than 10 minutes to do.


DRY BRUSHING

Dry brushing is a great way to detox and helps to boost your circulation. While you’re sweeping away dead skin cells, you’re also improving your digestion, stimulating your lymph nodes and did we mention it helps reduce the appearance of cellulite! You may notice a rush of energy or warm feeling so try dry brushing in the morning instead of before bed.


One way you can treat yourself is dry brushing combined with coconut oil. After your next shower, apply Conscious Coconut Oil from head to toe. Grab your dry brush and brush upwards on your legs towards your heart. Brush in a counterclockwise motion when you get to your stomach. Then, move to your arms, working from your fingers towards your heart again. Use firm small strokes or brush in a circular motion. HAIR MASK

It’s easy to forget about your hair in your daily care routine so spend a few minutes giving it the TLC it deserves. A few hours before taking a shower, rub one to two tablespoons of Conscious Coconut Oil (or use one travel-ready packet!) throughout your hair starting at the ends working your way to the roots. Wrap your hair in a towel or cover it with a shower cap and start binge watching your favorite show. Once the coconut oil is absorbed, shampoo and condition your hair as normal. FOOT SCRUB

Kick up your feet and try out this three ingredient scrub. Mix 1 tablespoon of Conscious Coconut Oil with ¼ cup brown sugar and squeeze in the juice of half a lemon. Blend your scrub together, adding more coconut oil until it’s the consistency you like. Massage the coconut oil scrub into your feet and start to imagine you’re in a relaxing spa. Rinse and pat your feet dry.
